Bethesda has launched a lawsuit against Warner Bros and Behaviour Interactive claiming that their new Westworld game is a copy of Bethesda’s Fallout Shelter.
Bethesda went as far as to call the game a “blatant rip-off of Fallout Shelter.
Working with the same copyrighted computer code used by FALLOUT SHELTER, Westworld has the same or highly similar game design, art style, animations, features and other gameplay elements as FALLOUT SHELTER, all of which are owned by Bethesda.
On the surface, it looks like a weird allegation, but after researching it a bit more, you’ll find that Fallout Shelter’s is indeed owned by Bethesda, but it was originally developed by Behaviour Interactive. Bethesda claims that the game also has similar bugs, which would reinforces their claim that the game’s use the same code.
Westworld launched earlier this week. We don’t know what this will mean for the game, but we’ll keep you posted.
