Earlier today, Trion Worlds announced that the release date of Rift: Nightmare Tide will be pushed back to Oct. 22. Until then, players will be able to try out the new expansion on the game’s Public Test Shard.
The developers explained the delay as follows:
We’ve been listening to your feedback, which is so incredibly valuable to us, and are working to address your suggestions and concerns. As a result, we’ve decided to extend Open Beta for an additional two weeks, which means the launch date for Nightmare Tide will be pushed back to Oct. 22.
Everyone who’s interested in trying out the expansion prior to the release on October 8, 2014, can do so by opening Glyph, browsing to Rift, selecting “PTS” from the list of servers in the top right corner and clicking install (or update).
