Rift Goes Free on Steam

If you haven’t heard of Rift, I question just how much of an MMO fan you are. Rift is an award-winning MMORPG by Trion Worlds that features slick visuals and enjoyable gameplay in an immersive world. Upon its release, Rift was the premier competition for MMORPG juggernaut World of Warcraft, and the game was named “Best PC Persistent World/MMO Game of 2011” by IGN, who claimed that it was “the most bug-free and out-of-the-gate high-quality MMO ever created.”

Obviously, Rift could not unseat the powerful Blizzard title, but that doesn’t detract from how great of an experience Rift is. As some of you may know, Rift went completely free-to-play back in June of this year, but the game still had to be downloaded from its official website. However, as of today, Rift is available for download on Steam, and it is completely free-to-play through all content, including the 16 major game updates. If you’ve been looking for a new MMO to sink your time into, look no further than Rift.
