Overwatch is celebrating its 2nd anniversary from May 22 – June 11. To make the occasion more special, Blizzard released a new deathmatch map and more than 190 anniversary items.
For a limited time, players can earn Anniversary Loot Boxes. The boxes contain loot from all past seasonal events, as well as new items that have been added just for the event. Furthermore, everyone who logs in during the anniversary event receives a Legendary Anniversary Loot Box, which contains atleast one legendary item.
Blizzard will also be hosting a free weekend from May 25 – 28, to give all interested players a chance to try out the game, without having to buy it. And to encourage people to buy the game, Blizzard is dropping the game price by 20$ (20€ for europe) until June 5th for both the Legendary and Standard editions.
You can find out more about the Anniversary events, free weekend and discounts on the Overwatch site.
