Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Gets Free Edition

Valve has introduced Free Edition to their critically acclaimed online shooter Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

However, this doesn’t mean that CS:GO has finally gone free to play. In the Free Edition you’ll be able to play offline against bots and spectate matches through GOTV.

Although with Twitch and Youtube around, the spectating feature doesn’t seem like much, but we think it’s still a nice gesture.

Many have speculated that sooner or later, CS will go free to play. Others are worried about the consequences of when it does. Mainly the lack of paywall keeping away hackers and other unwanted individuals.

You can find out more about CS:GO Free Edition on it’s official Steam page.
