Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime has confirmed that the highly anticipated Project Titan has been cancelled after seven years.
The reason behind the cancellation was that supposedly, the game wasn’t fun enough. Morhaime explained that the development team felt that they never found the spark, or the passion, even after going through a long reevaluation period.
Titan was hypothesized to be the next-generation MMO to take the throne from World of Warcraft. According to an earlier announcement from Blizzard, the game was scheduled to release some time in 2014.
