Sony Online Entertainment has never hidden the fact that they think EverQuest Next: Landmark is going to be something special. The game entered Founders Alpha on January 31.
Right now the game has about 20,000 alpha players, who are by Dave Georgeson (The Director of Development for the EverQuest Franchise) considered to be part of the game’s development team by default.
Only a few hours after the alpha launch, John Smedley the president of SOE announced that the NDA for EverQuest Next: Landmark has been lifted.
“Technically the alpha is holding up very very well, better even than expected. So, based on the requests of our alpha players, (and in spirit of transparency) we’ve decided to lift the nda immediately.”
