Black Desert is probably one of the most anticipated games of this year. Back in June, Pearl Abyss revealed that they were still selecting a suitable publisher for the NA and EU regions. Now they’ve made their choice.
According to Steparu, an official Pearl Abyss representative has confirmed that Daum will be publishing black desert in the NA and EU regions. Daum is one of South Korea’s largest web portals, although Daum is relatively new in the game publishing industry, they’re already publishing notable games such as Planetside 2 and Winning Putt.
Luckily Pearl Abyss has been working on the English client for a while, unfortunately that hasn’t brought us any nearer to the announcement of western beta dates. The third Korean Closed Beta Test is scheduled to start sometime late in August to early September. Open Beta is scheduled to launch two to three months after the third CBT ends.
The game is expected to be released in the West between 2014 and 2015.
